Veteran Cinematographer Jim Ross tests out some non pro gear to see how it fares against an industry standard. With lower cost LED fixtures taking the industry by storm the biggest complaint has still been low output and terrible color. All that is changing. In this episode Jim tests an inexpensive Generay Endeavor ML-33K LED Monolight against a light that has been on sets for decades – the Arri 1,000 watt tungsten Fresnel. Can the LED make the cut of being a Pro Tool?
