Camera Crane on Dolly as Floating Camera Platform – Poor Man’s Techno Crane

Last week I mounted my camera crane on a dolly I fabricated in order to get cool floating camera shots on a film I was working on. Here is some footage of our camera rehearsal. Filmmaking has always been about innovation and here we’re trying to get the look of a Techno Crane without using one. Why not use one? BUDGET!
