Misako on Slate with J.G. Hertzler (Klingon General Martok of Deep Space Nine Fame)

My daughter Misako got to work with her first star on the set of Axanar where I was Gaffer/Key Grip and B Camera Operator. Here she is with J.G. Hertzler – AKA Klingon General Martok on Deep Space Nine (as well as 6 other characters in the Trek franchise) and now as Admiral Travis in the fan film we worked on. She ran the slate and John was so generous in his praise and nice things to say to her on set. She was also surprised because when John realized she was half Japanese hen told her he is a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki films like Totoro, Spirited Away, and Kiki.
